Overview
Belgrade Zoo, also known as Vrt dobre nade (Garden of good hope), is a ZOO located in Kalemegdan Park, is one of locals’ favorite places. It was founded in 1936 and you can see here about 1,700 animals. There is a phenomenal collection of animals on this portion, that shares it’s space with the Belgrade Fortress ruins. The major attraction of Belgrade zoo is “MUJA”, the World’s oldest documented living American alligator.
Zoo is open 365 days per year.
