Overview
Bucharest Zoo spreads over an area of 5.85 hectares and possesses more than 100 forms (species and subspecies) exceeding a total of 800 specimens belonging to both exotic wildlife and native fauna.
The paths around the zoo are well shaded and there are lots of benches which makes summer visits really pleasant. There are tigers and lions, as well as a good reptile house. The monkey house and bird house are loud and popular.
It’s a good place to take the kids out for 2-3 hours max. It’s smaller than other zoos in Europe, but the admitance ticket is very cheap.
Bring water and snacks as you don’t have a place to buy that inside.
