Overview
Israel Aquarium is a huge aquarium that tells a fascinating submarine story. Begin your journey at the entrance hall and watch how thousands of fish swim together, all in one direction. Then, continue to the “Four Seas” gallery, where you will find an extraordinary exhibit of Israel’s seas – namely, the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Sea of Galilee, and the Dead Sea. Your next destination are the different galleries displaying local fish farming and aquaculture techniques. Among these galleries, you’ll find treasures from the Mediterranean, the Suez Canal, and the Red Sea. You will also find exhibitions of jellyfish, Mollusk shells, and bivalves.
The aquarium gives us an opportunity to enjoy and admire a unique world, and perhaps, even make our contribution to the underwater reality in Israel.
The Israel Aquarium is situated adjacent to the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, 1.5 km from the zoo’s entrance gate. You can drive or walk along the access road that begins at the end of the Zoo’s parking area. Please note that at present public transportation reaches as far as the Zoo’s main entrance only.
