Mammoth Park Viminacium at Kostolac

Mammoth Park is located in archeological park Viminacium, Roman legion barracks, where the whole mammoth skeleton was discovered. So far, 20 mammoths have been found in the world, but none of them have been preserved on site at a depth of more than 30 metres from the surface of the ground. It is estimated that mammoth Vika was 60 years old, 4.5 metres tall, 5 meters long and weighted over 10 ton.

Near this prehistoric site you’ll find wooden mammoth sculpture and jungle gym playground.
