Kyoto Zoo

Okazaki Hoshojicho, Sakyo Ward, Kjoto, Kyoto, Japan

If you need to take a break from temples visit, this is a good place to go. This is a great place for young children. The zoo is quite small, so you can finish the tour before they get too tired or bored. We can see the animals up close and there is a great variety of animals. There is a small playground where children can ride on trains, play bumper cars and ride a small Ferris wheel.

Kyoto City Zoo (京都市動物園) is a zoo located in Sakyō ward, Kyoto and was established in 1903, making it the second oldest zoo in the country after Ueno Zoo in Tokyo.
