Kavarna Homan Škofja Loka

Kavarna in slaščičarna Homan se nahaja v starem centru Škofje Loke, na Mestnem trgu. Nepretrgoma deluje že 150 let. Ima izjemno tradicijo na področju slaščičarstva. Kavarna ima ogromen vrt, na katerem se nahajajo tudi otroška igrala.

Homanova Hiša je meščanski dvorec. Hiša je bila prenovljena po potresu leta 1511 v gotskem slogu z nekaj renesančnimi elementi. Prenovo dokazuje tudi letnica 1529 na konzolnem pomolu s kamnito bradato glavo in kranjskim grbom. V gostilno nad slačičarno je rad zahajal tudi slikar – impresionist Ivan Grohar, ki je od tod naslikal znamenito sliko ˝Loka v snegu˝.

Homanova lipa je bila posajena leta 1934 v čast kralja Aleksandra. Lipa dandanes nudi odlično naravno senco v poletnih dneh.

Homan Café and Confectionery is located in the old center of Škofja Loka, on square Mestni trg. It has been operating continuously for 150 years. It has an exceptional tradition in the field of confectionery. The café has a huge garden with children’s playgrounds.

Homan’s House is a burgher’s mansion. The house was renovated after the earthquake of 1511 in the Gothic style with some Renaissance elements. The renovation is also proven by the year 1529 on the cantilever pier with a stone bearded head and the Carniolan coat of arms. The painter-impressionist Ivan Grohar also liked to visit the inn, and from there he painted the famous painting “Škofja Loka in the snow”.

Homan’s linden tree was planted in 1934 in honor of King Alexander. Linden nowadays offers excellent natural shade on summer days.
