It’s pity you can’t celebrate birthday among your dearest friend and family members during quarantine. It’s pity you can’t even buy presents and gifts so easily and quick. What’s a good thing in this situation is that you can find plenty of waste you can recycle and make beautiful and simple things or even presents.
#1 What you need to make a gift box
Look around your apartment. Empty your plastic bottle, find some decorative paper, colored paper, ribbon, utility knife, scissors, adhesive tape and a glue.

#2 Cut plastic bottle
Cut the bottom and upper part of plastic bottle. The best is if you have a smooth round plastic bottle..

#3 Outline the bottom circle
If you are using thicker decorative paper or cardboard you can outline the bottom circle on the back side. If you only have thin decorative paper then you can outline cardboard first and then glue decorative paper on it.

#4 Sellotape the bottom
Sellotape the bottom to one side of the plastic box. Cut the upper part of sellotape into small pieces so that you can stick the sellotape nicely, piece by piece.

#5 Cut the paper
Use colored paper of A4 format size. Cut a 4 cm long strip, fold it in half and glue it, to make the strip thicker.

#6 Outline the cover circle
Put the strip around the plastic box and outline it to another decorative paper or cardboard. Cut the circle and sellotape it to the strip. Cut the upper part of sellotape into small pieces so that you can stick the sellotape nicely, piece by piece to get a cover.

#7 Glue the strip on the plastic box
Glue the strip on the plastic box. It is nice if the pattern matches the cover.

#8 Glue decorative ribbon
Glue decorative ribbon at the bottom over the vertical strip. You can glue decorative ribbon also on the box cover.

#9 Fill the gift box
Now you can fill the gift box with your present 🙂
