After two months of quarantine some changes to everyday life were brought. Casual Friday became casual Everyday. So it was about time to make a twist to Fancy Everyday. This is Mama’s Recycling Corona Fashion.
#1 What you need for making a wallet
To make your women wallet you’ll need two pieces of Tetra Pak, universal glue, fabric, glue gun, sewing kit, decorative material, snap button or even better hook-and-loop closure, brush, utility knife, and scissors.

#2 Cut the Tetra Pak
Cut the upper part and the bottom of Tetra Pak on both packaging first, then cut it vertically on the right side so that you can spread the packaging.

#3 Glue colored side of packaging
Glue a fabric to a colored side of packaging by using universal glue. Cut the edges and glue the rest of fabric to the opposite side. Do the same with the other packaging.

#4 Sew a snap button
Sew a snap button (stud) or even better hook-and-loop closure to one of the packaging.

#5 Cut two side parts
Cut two squares of fabric and cut them in a shape of triangle. Glue them to the corner of inner part of the wallet.

#6 Glue inner and outer part of wallet
Glue inner and outer part of wallet together. Pay attention to silver coating – they need to be glued together. Inner part of the wallet should be glued a bit lower on the outer part (1-2 cm). Then you can sew a snap button (socket) on the outer part of the wallet (see the picture in red frame).

#7 Decorate your wallet
In our case we have used shiny strip and sew it on the fabric. Doing so we covered visible silver coating from the outer part.

#8 Homeschooling necessary equipment
Now you’re ready to start a new corona working position as a pro homeschooling mum 🙂

#9 ADVANCED: Corona slippers
If you prefer matching accessories you can make summer slippers as well.

#10 What you need for making summer slippers
To make your summer slippers you’ll need fabric, sewing kit, decorative material, pair of flip flops, thicker material for outsole, and scissors.

#11 Outline your flip flops
Flip flops are the best template to get the shape of your outsole. Put flip flops over trousers, outline their shape, and cut them out. You’ll need 4 pieces.

#12 Layers of the outsole
Find thicker material that can be used for outsole. Be careful with plastic material to avoid sweating. If you don’t have other option you can solve it with additional layer of silver folio. In our case we used felt.

#13 Sew the layers all around
If you don’t own sewing machine you can still sew by hand. Sew the layers of outsole all around.

#14 Cut 4 pieces of fabric
Cut 4 pieces of same fabric as you used for a wallet. Approximately 20 cm long and 10 cm wide.

#15 Sew the strips
Sew each strip to the outsole. If you don’t have sewing machine you can sew every side of the strip by hand.

#16 Decorate the stripes
If it’s possible use the same decoration as you have used it on the wallet.

#17 Tie a bow
Tie a bow and you are ready to go 🙂
